FEELING AT HOME

Former Aston Villa and Manchester city midfielder Gareth Barry has revealed that he is already feeling at home at his new club Everton were years from now until the end of the season. Following the signing of Fernandinho, it was going to be clear the Barry is not part of the first-team at city.

This led to his loan move to Everton, who had just lost an influential midfielder in the form of Marouane Fellaini to Manchester United. This meant that the England midfielder was not only going to get regular first-team football, but he was also going to help Everton with his undoubted quality.

Everton have indeed made a great start to the season and have lost just one match so far this campaign. They are seventh in the table just a few places below the top four. So far, Barry has made four appearances since moving to Goodison Park and he has been instrumental player under Roberto Martinez. The 32-year-old has said that he is enjoying life at his new club, and he is already feeling settled. It is expected that Barry will make the move permanent in the summer if he continues to be an important player for Everton.

He is a player of vast experience of having played numerous league and international matches.

“People who I’ve spoken to who have played for Everton say this is a good family club and you’ll enjoy going there, but until you do go in you don’t know what to expect. But I do get that feeling. Of the two transfers I’ve had in my career I’ve settled here a lot quicker and that’s credit to the people around the training ground and around Goodison. It’s been a stop-start season and that’s frustrating," said Barry ahead of the weekend's trip to his former club Aston Villa.
